Born November 5, 1983, Alexa Chung is an English model and TV presenter, who was made famous by her awkward style of interview on Channel 4 show Popworld, and also for her signature vintage style. Chung grew up in Privett, Hampshire, raised by her English mother and Chinese-English father, a graphic designer. When she was 16, she was scouted as a model and, despite having been accepted by King's College London to read English and by Chelsea College of Art and Design to do an art foundation course, she signed with Storm. After four years - and campaigns for brands including Fanta, Sony Ericsson, Sunsilk and Tampax - Chung quit modelling with the intention of attending university. However, in 2006, Chung began her presenting career at Channel 4, and that’s were she grew famous.

The ballsy personality went on to be a presenter, before picking up the modelling career she had dropped after five years, and becoming the face of DKNY Jeans and Pepe Jeans. Her willowy frame and boyish good looks have graced the covers of Vogue and Harper's Bazaar in the UK, while fashion house Mulberry even named a handbag after her (trivia: an item that currently has a waiting list of of 50,000).

More recently, Alexa won the British Fashion Style Icon Award by The British Fashion Awards and appeared on the cover of the New York Times Sunday Styles Section, which declared her as “the new Kate Moss.” Since, her career has just been growing and Alexa Chung is considered a global fashion maven and trendsetter.

Chung is a muse to many fashion designers because of her distinctive personal style. She frequently appears on best-dressed lists, is a regular model for Vogue, Elle and Harper's Bazaar and is often seen in the front row at fashion shows. The style icon is also a contributing editor to British Vogue and enrolles in various fashion projetcs, which range from collaborations to projects of her own - she has published a book of her own, named “It” and an fashion app, “Villoid”.
